What is Halal?
Halal is an Islamic dietary law meaning “permitted” or “lawful.” Food, products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and more may be deemed Halal based on the type of product, as well as how the product is prepared. Halal products show a commitment to the ethical sourcing and treatment of animals and other living things. Muslims consider Halal living as a way to uplift their culture, beliefs, and identity, as well as a healthy lifestyle choice.
The Halal market is huge and fast-growing. Muslims are expected to account for almost 1/3 of the global human population in the coming years, according to the Halal Foundation.
